Hi everyone! This is my final entry for the MFT 2023 Card Design Superstar, Clean and simple genius. I used the Lucky Duck stamp set. I stamped the images onto Kraft card stock and colored them with OLO markers and color pencils. For the shower curtain I used the pink tissue paper from the packaging our stamps come in. I cut a rectangle of the tissue paper and folded it into pleats and punched a hole in the folded pleats. I used fine twine to hang the shower curtain, for the finishing touch. I punched two small holes one on each side of the image panel. I used the Inside and Out Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics for the card panels.

2023 Card Design Superstar My Favorite Things
Hello everyone! Here is my Box Card Master submission for the MFT Card Design Superstar. I used lots of stamps and dies to create this Halloween Box. It was lots of fun!
As you can see, lots of different sets were used. I used black cardstock for the base of the box and the layers were cut with the Watercolor Rectangle STAX . I like the spooky feel they give to the box compared to using the straight layers. I also cut some from white cardstock to layer onto the dividers inside the box. I cut those into about 1 inch strips making sure the jagged edge was at the top. I colored the strips with grass and the path leading to the haunted house. I added some cracks to the pathway to spook it up a bit. The back panel was cut from white cardstock and colored with OLO markers and Faber Castell color pencils. One of the stamp sets I used was JB Delightful Halloween. Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Yearly Post 2023 Card Design Superstar Contest
Here is a card I am submitting to the MFT Superstar Coloring Virtuoso category. I used several stamp sets to create my scene.
YUZU Presents and Pupcakes for the dog images.
YUZU Catitude
Sentiments from retired Pure Innocence stamp sets.
These were some sentiments I thought could be used like Let the Good Times Roll or No Pee-ing Allowed. (omitted the k in peeking) I used Just Roll With It. I cut one of the pieces of toilet paper into 3, crumpled them and placed them on the card. The dog with the ribbon in his mouth was changed by masking the puppy and inking up the trailing toilet paper roll on the kitten's tail and placing it on the floor at the puppy's bottom. I used OLO markers and colored pencils to complete the images and drew the hardwood floor and rug. I had lots of fun creating this scene. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by.

Janice

2021 MFT Card Design Superstar Contest
Hello friends,
Today I am entering the annual MFT Card Design Superstar Contest. I was so surprised to see the last post to my blog was for this very contest, only last year. I used 3 stamp sets for the images I used to create my card. This card is for the Coloring Virtuoso category.
I used the adorable crows from the Loveable Leopards set. I used a Pure Innocence Ll'l Pumpkin, and a sentiment from Picture Perfect Party Animals. To make the fence I used the die-namics to cut and trace the fence. I used Copics and color pencils to color the scene. The clouds were cut, free-hand. Thanks so much for stopping by! Good luck to all the other participants!

Janice

2020 Card Design Superstar: Coloring Virtuoso
Hello friends! I haven't posted to my blog in such a long time because facebook hasn't been allowing me to link my cards to it. We will see if this works. Today I am sharing a card I made for the My Favorite Things Design Contest. I am entering this card into the Coloring Virtuoso category. I had a hard time choosing between Clean and Simple and Coloring Virtuoso. This is my idea of Clean and Simple, but I think it might not qualify, so I went with Coloring Viruoso.
I used a Birdie Brown stamp set called Birthday Buds. I just love that little mouse and the adorable elephant. I use an old Fishtail Flags Stax die for the white colored layer. The other two layers were cut with scissors. I used MFT petite plaid for the birthday hats and background paper panel. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

The rainbow and sentiment were stamped and cut out and placed with pop dots. 7 Kids Craft Store has a wide selection of clearance that you can check out here. We will be having another Instagram Hop on May 2. I will post the details soon. Thanks so much for stopping by.

2's-Day Tuesday April 21
For this card I paper-pieced the background to look like a living room. I stamped the mouse on some white cardstock and only used his head peaking out of a mouse hole in the wall. Pretty kitty keeps a watchful eye on that mouse as she sits upon her rug. 7 Kids Craft Store has a special bundle price if you buy all 3 sets, for a limited time. It's a great bargain and they are so cute. Thanks so much for stopping by.

2's-Day Tuesday April 7
Nowhere near their caliber but I had fun and I challenged myself. I will share several photos to show how I did these.
Sorry this is difficult to see. I used a very light pink ink to stamp pdp Harley.
This is the start of her face.
This shows the progression.
Sorry for the long post. Hope you find it interesting! Thanks for stopping by!

2's-Day Tuesday March 24, 2020
I did a little masking to stamp the animals. I used copics and color pencils to color the images. The sun is an MFT die. The background was hand-drawn and colored with copics. The words were stamped on white cardstock and cut out.
My second card is an easel card. The animals were stamped and colored and made into 2 inch squares. As an added bonus I made a pocket to hold a tag made from the wagon of hay. I hope you like these 2 similar, but different cards. Thanks for stopping by!
