Peachy Challenge #35

Hello friends!  This weeks challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps is just cards, teacher.  I wanted to practice some shading and masking, so I decided to do a pile of pencils.  The stamp is from the August 2012 stamp kit.

I stamped and masked and used my Copics to color them up.  Added some ribbon, a tag, and a button.  Thanks for stopping by.

Recent things I have made

These were made with a Zentangle Technique.  Typically Zentangle  is all hand done but I like to stamp images and Zentangle the stamped image or around the image.  The first card, I stamped the pear from Peachy Keen Faceless Fruits and Zentangled/doodled them with a copic fine line black pen.  The next 2 cards were made with Unity stamps.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peachy Challenge 02 Photo Inspiration

Here is my entry for the Peachy Keen challenge.  Photo Inspiration.  I used PK-240 Say It With Flowers.  The card looks much better in person.  Sorry for the poor quality photo.

You can check out the details for the challenge here.  The collection closes in about 2 hours.  Last week I got it in with 7 minutes to spare.  This week 2 hours.  Thanks Lisa for giving me a nudge again this week.

Playing With My New Peachy Keen Stamps

I have a couple of cards to share with you today using my new Peachy Keen Stamps.  I used the small Angel from the Stamp of the Month club.  This is a great set with several images and face stamps on an 8 1/2" by 11" sheet.  Have you heard about the new Stamp of the Month Club?  You can read all about it here.  I signed up for it.  I think it will be lots of FUN!  Peachy Keen has lots of new changes for 2012 and the new and senior Design Team is fabulous!  I hope to join in on as many challenges as I can.  My oldest son is getting married on Feb. 11 so my posts may be few and far between until after the wedding.

I colored this sweet little Angel with my Copics and as you can see, used lots of polka dots in my design.  My second card was made with another newly released stamp set that you can find here.  PK-10 Colby and Jack Cheeseheads.  Could these stamps get any CUTER??  Kathy you ROCK!!

They were also colored with Copics and I added some glittery snow for those cold WI winters.  I am linking this to the Peachy Keen Kick Off Linky Party.  Thanks for stopping by.

Peachy Keen Challenge 58

Good Morning Peachy Keen friends!  Time for another Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  For my card I used PK-335 Christmas Heads.  I chose the Gingers.  I love the gingerbread stamps!  They are so cute and Peachy Keen has a large selection to choose from.  This set is from the newest release of stamps.

I used the 1 inch ginger faces from the PK-484 Snowmany Face Assortment set.  I don't know how Kathy continues to create such a variety of these adorable faces!  I know I have said this many times, but I just can't help myself, "These stamps sure do make me smile!"  Since I was using just the heads, I decided to use the ginger hands from PK-327 Winter Peekers and Phrases set.  Finally I used PK-322 Christmas Tag Minis to create the garland and snowflake.  I colored the images with Copics.  I applied Viva cream colored Pearl Pen to the gingers hair and hands and also to the snowflake.  I love the dimension and gloss of the pearl pens.  The ribbon I used is retired from Stampin Up.  The finished card size is 5x7.  I had a lot of fun making this card.  To read all the details of the challenge and to view what the other designers have created please visit the Challenge Blog here.  They have made some wonderful samples once again!  Also our guest designer this week is Gaby http://www.gabycreates.com.  Welcome Gaby!
Thanks for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Chipboard Album

Hello everyone!

Did you know that Peachy Keen Stamps sells chipboard albums?  They sell lots of fun supplies!  I have made a mini football album using the football chipboard album here.  Being raised in Green Bay I had to use the Peachy Keen Cheesehead stamps to decorate my pages.

I had a lot of fun making this!  I love the images!  I used PK - 700 Packer Tickets.  Isn't she a cutie?  I also used PK- 350 Colby and Jack Cheese Set.  I just love those mice.  That adorable cheesehead tag  I have had for years.  It is retired but you never know, it may come out of retirement someday. ;)
I used PK-09 Cheesy Packer Fans and PK-025 Go Pack Go Snowman and PK-224 Mouse Gets The Cheese and PK-852 Bottoms Up Snowman.  I used various stamps from these sets to complete the album.

The tickets were made with EK-30089 Photo Labels Punch and stamps from PK-09 Cheesy Packer Fans.

I hope you like the album.  Check out the supplies at the PKS store and see what you can't live without! ;)
Thanks for having a look!  Happy Friday to all of you and have a great weekend!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Our Finest Cheese We Bring

Here is a little 8x8 inch wall decoration I made using PK-350. Colby and Jack Cheese set.

I absolutely love these little mice! For the pennant banner I used a triangle punch and then drew and colored them to look like cheese. For the Christmas tree I used the stamp from PK-231 Snowflakes.

I stamped the sentiment and drew the "cheesy" tree stand. All the images were colored with copics. The twine is Martha Stewart. The rats on the banner were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. The ornaments on the tree are various colors of stickles. I used a white shadow box frame that I had purchased at "The Christmas Tree Shop".

These Peachy Keen Stamps just make me so happy. Who can resist all those adorable faces? I will be posting some cheeseheads soon. They are so darn cute too! Hope you like my Colby and Jack!
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate all your visits and comments. You make my day.
Hugs and smiles!

Peachy Keen Challenge 42

Good morning! Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge. This weeks challenge is to use embossing somewhere on your project. You may choose to do heat embossing, a cuttlebug folder, or hand embossing, whichever you prefer. I used heat and cuttlebug embossing. I stamped the image on patterned paper and solid cardstock and heat embossed the images with super fine gold embossing powder. I then cut out various parts from each image to put my angel together. I used a glossy ivory patterned cardstock for the cuttlebugged background, assembled the card, and added ribbon for the finishing touch. The card looks much better in real life. I hope you will find some time to play along. You will want to see what the rest of the team has cooked up for this challenge. Lots of Peachy Keen cuteness going on, of course! It would be difficult to be anything but cute with all the adorable stamps they have. Have fun!

Yum, yum, YUMMY!

I just love these Gingers!! Can't get enough of them. Here is a card I made for a sample at my LSS. They just started carrying Peachy Keen Stamps, which I am thrilled about. If you live in Massachusetts, the store I am talking about is "Ink About It". It is a great store, with the friendliest staff, and they have lots of fun classes and guest artists from around the world. If there is a stamp you are looking for, they will order it for you if it is a line they carry. Fun, fun place!!

For my card I used PK-408 Gingerbread Doll Set. It has many accessories to create your Gingers just the way you like. I used lots of yummy gumdrops, colored with copics, and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter, SU, to really make them sparkle. Hope you like them as much as I do. Thanks for visiting!

Peachy Keen Challenge 41

Hello Friends! Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge. Thank you to all of you talented artists who participate in our challenges! You are all such an inspiration and we appreciate each and every one of you for being such wonderful, loyal fans of Peachy Keen Stamps!! The theme for this weeks challenge is ENCOURAGEMENT! Some of us could certainly use a good dose of encouragement, in good times and in trying times. Angelica always comes up with such amazing challenges, and this is no exception.

I recently purchased some background stamps from Market Street Stamps that Angelica designed. I was having a lot of fun playing with the background stamp called Here Comes The Sun. I love sunsets and sunrises and moonlight so I knew this stamp was a must have. I inked up the stamp with 3 shades of pigment ink and then heat embossed clear embossing powder over the image. I used a sentiment stamp from the very special stamp set, near and dear to our hearts, called Our 2 Angels in Heaven, in honor of Lisa's 2 precious angels who lost their young lives in a horrific car accident. Lisa is an amazing person who is a constant inspiration to all of us who know and love her! Kathy, Peachy Queen Extraordinaire, lovingly crafted this stamp set to honor those precious angels and very generously has offered to donate the proceeds of the sale of this set to be given to the charity of Lisa's choice. Kathy and Dave and their children are such beautiful examples of what is good in this life. I am so blessed to have them in my life, even though we haven't actually met in person. We will, someday! I guess I am feeling THANKFUL for the blessings of family and friends because Thanksgiving is just 2 days away. I hope you all have a wonderful, Happy Thanksgiving!

Back to my card. After trying warm and cool shades for the background stamp, I decided to use the cool blues for this card. Blue feels more calming and encouraging, so that is why I chose that color scheme. I stamped, I believe in.... in the suns rays, and popped the YOU in the center of the sun. The card looks better in real life. I am happy with the way it turned out. I hope you like it too! As always, thanks so much for stopping by. I encourage you to visit the rest of the design team blogs. I am always amazed by their talent.

Hugs and smiles, Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 40

Good morning Peachy Keen fans. Time for another challenge. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. I chose to use the adorable "iflantastico" stamp from Market Street Stamps BFF set. Angelica is the artist of this FANTASTIC set as well as several other sets, with more to come.
( I can't wait!) They are made by Peachy Keen Stamps, which, in my opinion, has the best photopolymer for making the highest quality clear stamps on the market today!

This was so much fun to color! I added clear glaze to the sauce of the flan, though it is hard to see in the photo. The fork and spoon were cut from some Graphic 45 paper that I had. The patterned paper is from SU. Don't forget to check out the details for this challenge, as well as the fabulous designs by my other Peachy Keen Sisters! They never disappoint!

I enjoyed the entries from the last challenge and look forward to seeing your new projects! As always, thanks for visiting and happy crafting!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Happy Monday Morning Friends!

Good morning everyone! I am so excited about the new dies at The Scrapping Cottage and Peachy Keen Stamps! I can't wait to try them all. Today I have a card featuring Lisa Jean Witch. This die set comes with 3 Peachy Keen Stamps, a toothless grin face, a cranky witch face, and an angry broom face. I chose to use the crabby witch face today as I used the other face just a short time ago.

I cut the pieces using white cardstock and colored them up with my copics. I am so happy Lorie taught us that wonderful trick. I find myself cutting most of my images in white. I love to color and I feel that you can get a much more detailed image doing it this way. Please be sure and check out the new dies at The Scrapping Cottage or at Peachy Keen Stamps. They have been selling quickly. They are definitely dies you will want for your Halloween collection. I would love to see what you create with your Cottage Cutz dies. Just leave a comment with a link so I can come take a look. Enjoy your day and I will be back next Monday with some more Halloween cuteness.

Playing with my Peachy Keen Stamps and Cottage Cutz Dies

Hello friends! I received some adorable Cottage Cutz Dies designed by Kathy Jakopovich and just had to play! Isn't this little Pumpkin House adorable. I cut the house pieces using white cardstock and colored the pieces with copics. I color the various pieces and then glue them together, just my personal preference. Some people cut, glue, and then color, while others use colored cardstock and distress the edges. There is no wrong way, whatever technique you feel most comfortable with is always a good choice. The finished card size is 5 1/2" square.

The other photo is a picture of 4 postcards I made for a postcard swap I am in. Postcards are fun to do because you can't embellish them unless you mail them as a card, and that kind of defeats the purpose. So they use little product and are cheaper to mail and they are fun to receive.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Just want to give a shout out for the Peachy Queen's daughter, Angelica and her husband Jorge. They will be launching the grand opening of Market Street Stamps tonight, at 8:00pm Central.
I am so excited for them and can hardly wait to see the big reveal. Angelica has teased us with a couple of sneak peeks, and boy are they cute!!!! You can check it out here!

Peachy Keen Challenge 38

Hello friends! Time for Peachy Keen's Challenge 38. For this challenge it is all about Fall. Create a layout or project based on the season and using PKS' stamps. The only catch is that it can't be a card! If you are thinking this looks similar to yesterdays post you are right. I was going to use the paddle for this challenge but it just wasn't working, so I went with a frame instead. I used PK-613 Happy Scarecrow, and PK-614 Fall Fun Pumpkins, which is one of my favorite sets. I also used PK-268 Happy Mother's Day for the bird. The chipboard tree was covered with SU designer paper. The little wooden birdhouse was also covered with patterned paper. The cornstalk was made with raffia and the Indian corn was made with a Cottage Cutz die, Indian Corn. The images, except for the bird, were colored with prismacolor colored pencils and blended with gamsol. Hope you will play along with us and show us your fall creations. Please check out what the rest of the design team have created, and remember Peachy Keen now has 2 design teams and 2 challenges you can play along with.
