Get Sketchy Trash to Treasure

Here is a little Christmas decoration I made for this weeks challenge at Get Sketchy.
We were to use something we were going to throw away and make a treasure. This little wooden box used to hold some tiny clothespins. It measures about 4x6 inches. I sponged on some celery green acrylic paint. I used some vintage style papers to cut images from to create scenes in each section. The camera doesn't capture the dimension of the images or the glitter, but you get the idea. This was a fun challenge. Hope you don't mind seeing yet another Christmas project. Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year to all!!

Peachy Keen Challenge 19

Hello friends. Time for another challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. Today's challenge is another sketch challenge. Here is the sketch and my interpretation of it. I used PK-224.
I stamped snippets of the mouse and finally the whole mouse. If you haven't noticed, I love mice stamps! I used my copics to color him. The little charm says smile. I hope this card makes YOU smile.

The prize for Challenge #19 is an entire assortment pack of our newest set, PK-531 Simple Sallies! Good luck everyone!

You have 2 weeks to play along, so tell your friends and come join in the fun! Have a great day!!!

Digi Kitty Challenge

Here is a card I made for Digi Kitty's Challenge. I used digital images. The candle is Lil Light and I also used Digi Kitty's poinsettias. I printed 2 different sizes of the poinsettias, colored them with copics and used them to embellish the candle holder. The white on the candle is dimensional paint sprinkled with glitter. Thanks for stopping by!

Get Sketchy 18

Here is a card I made for Get Sketchy #18. The image is by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I thought that little mouse was just too cute to resist. I also love marshmallows. I am guilty of roasting marshmallows over the burner of my kitchen stove. (Gasp) I used my copics to color the stamped image. I masked the lit match with a punched circle and sponged the background with several shades of blue. The polka dot ribbon is from SU.

Peachy Keen Challenge 18

Hello my crafting friends! Peachy Keen has a new challenge posted. The guidelines are to make a card using the sketch above (feel free to replace buttons with any embellishment). Please link up your entry before December 27th for a chance to win. Another fabulous prize is up for grabs, but you need to participate to have a chance at winning. I had fun making this card using PK-328 Snowman Winter Greeting Card Set. I paper pieced the snowman's clothing and colored with copics. I punched and glittered the snowflakes, added some bling and stickles to the Christmas tree, papers from K&Company, and polka dot ribbon from SU. I hope to see you join in the fun and tell your friends to come play too! Have fun!! :) Don't forget to check out the other fabulous cards made by the DT. You may click here or click on their names in my sidebar to go directly to their blogs. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 17

Hello friends! Peachy Keen has a fun challenge to try and if you are the lucky winner of the draw, you will receive 2 Brand New Released sets, PK-408 Gingerbread Doll Set and PK-318 Penguin Doll Set! Kathy has been creating new stamps and are they CUTE!!!! You will want to check them out for sure!

I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen to be on the Design Team with 7 other really talented women. Their names and links to their blogs are posted in the sidebar to the right. I hope you will visit their blogs. You won't be disappointed.

Now onto the challenge.

We have another recipe challenge for you this week. The challenge is to use the following:

* polka dot(s)
* a border
* stripe(s)
* stamped image(s)

For my card I used PK-319 Snickerdoodle Happy Elf. I stamped his image twice, once onto white cardstock and once onto green "velvet" ribbon. (I purchased this ribbon last year, for 90% off, after Christmas clearance.) I love to think of different ways to incorporate different products. I also have some red velvet ribbon that I purchased at the same time. I have used that for Santa's clothes in the past. I cut the Christmas trees from patterned paper, made the present and attached the white polka dot bow to the present with clear glue dots. The ribbon is not wired. You just twirl and tack down with the glue dots.

As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you can join us in the challenge. You have until December 15 to post your card to Mr. Linky. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
