CottageCutz Springtime Tea

Hello Everyone!  Today's card features the CottageCutz Springtime Tea die.  I chose to use the bear in tea cup today.  It also comes with a bunny.  I cut the pieces from patterned paper and assembled the tea cup.  I added some layers and an embossed background.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Monochromatic Butterflies

Hello Everyone!   Just wanted to show you a simple, but pretty card I made using the butterfly from the Easter Blessings set and the butterflies from the Shabby Chic set.  I only inked the butterflies in
the center of the sentiment stamp.

I stamped the butterflies with turquoise ink onto a strip of colored cardstock.  I added some white polka dots to some of the butterflies.  The border and the punched butterfly were cut with Marha Stewart punches.

Shabby Chic March Release Blog Hop Day 2

Here are a few more cards with the Build a Cake and Greetings set by Shabby Chic Stamp Co.
I stamped the word smile from the Greetings set with different shades of Colorbox Chalk Ink.  The faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps.
For this card, I punched some white circles and then used the exclamation pt. from the Greetings set to stamp the spokes.  I then sponged the circles trying to give a tie-dye feel to the card.  The It's Your Day sentiment was placed on my acrylic block with a slight curve so that it would stamp along the curve of color on the circle.
This is a clean and simple card.  I stamped the cake and the sentiment with Memento Paris Dusk ink.  The ribbon bands on the cake were colored with Copic B-18 and C-1 was added for shadows.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hippity Hoppity ...

Hello everyone!  Today I have a card made with the CottageCutz Flower Pot die.  I am a big fan of the large variety of  house dies that CottageCutz offers!  They are all so cute and whimsical!  I used both colored cardstock and white cardstock to cut the images.  I chose to use some fun Spring colors.  I have been sick with the flu, and needed a cheerful card to pick me up.

For the turquoise bunny, I used the negative from the cut as a stencil, and sponged it with ink.  Just a little tip showing that you don't always have to use the die cut to create a design.
Have a great day!

Playing With Twinkling H2o's and Unity

Here are a couple of cards I made with Twinkling H2O's and Unity stamps.  I used the beautiful butterfly and daisy stamp from the Jan. 2012 kit of the month set.  Love this set.
Next I made a card with Donna Poppies.  Poppies are one of my favorite flowers!  I used twinkling H2O's on this one and a brown Sharpie to outline the image after I finished painting them.  I also used the fine tip brown sharpie to the stamens for more contrast.  As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Unity Sketch and Monthly Challenge

Hi everyone.  I made a card for the  Unity Sketch Challenge and the Unity Monthly Challenge.  I used the house stamp from the Jan. 2012 stamp kit of the month as well as the Heart and Soul sentiment.  I stamped the house onto some Memory Box Valise designer paper with Tim Holtz tea dye Distress Ink.  I love stamping on patterned paper and the house looks great with 2 different papers.  I used a SU punch for the hearts, a Memory Box Scalloped Posie die for the rosettes.  I free hand cut the clouds and inked all the edges with the tea
dye.  I added some rick-rack, lace, and twine to complete the card.  Hope you like it.

Spring Chickadee and Video

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing a card I made using the CottageCutz Spring Chickadee  die.  I also made a video showing how I made my little Chick.  I didn't realize until after I uploaded the video that Cheryl had also done one on the same die.  I am a little behind in reading the other posts, so I apologize for that.  We both have different styles, and I show how to use a Peachy Keen face on mine, so you will learn something different if you choose to watch it.  I hope you do, and enjoy!

Happy Birthday!

Hello friends!  Lots of birthdays in February.  I made this card for a friend.  Her birthday was yesterday.  My birthday and my friend Judy, that I craft with at Ink About It, is today.  Happy Birthday Judy if you are reading this!  My Father-in-law is turning 84 tomorrow!  Happy Birthday Dad!  Happy Birthday to all of you that have birthdays in February.  My sister Dianne celebrated her 60th birthday on the 18th!

The card was made with Unity Stamps.  The cake and the party stamp are from the May 2011 Kit of the Month set.  The balloons are from the Feb. 20011 Kit of the Month set.  The balloons were tied to a bicycle.  I just wanted the balloons, not the bike.  I used RV-02 Sugared Almond Pink, C-3 Cool Gray, and a black  copic multiliner to color the images.  The balloons have some glossy accents on top, though you can't tell by the photo.  If you join the Kit of the Month Club, you only pay $31.00 and that includes shipping.  The sets are 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of red rubber and they stamp beautifully.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I appreciate all of you that visit my blog and I hope you don't leave, disappointed.

Janice

Oh darn, I was too late!!

Hello friends!  I made this card for the Peachy Keen Challenge #5 but I missed the date.  Darn!  Oh well, better luck next time.  I wanted to practice my copic coloring with shades of black/gray.  I still need lots of practice but it was fun to challenge myself!  I reverse stamped the image and darkened the lines with a very fine tipped copic multiliner.  I drew the sidewalk and background with the same fine tipped multiliner.  Then using cool shades of gray, I tried to color the image like a black and white photo.

The sentiment is hand written.  I would love to see how my friend Lorie would color Vivienne from PK-277 Vivienne and Friends set.  I learn so much from her inspiring work!  I hope I make the deadline next time!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
