2's-Day Tuesday March 24, 2020

Hello friends!  I hope you are all surviving during these difficult times of isolation.  I am so thankful I have a hobby that I really enjoy and rarely get bored with.  Today I am sharing 2 cards made with the Studiolight Pet Life Stamp Set from 7 Kids Craft Store.  This is a very fun stamp set!  I love farm animal stamp sets.  I decided I would stack the animals with my first card.

I did a little masking to stamp the animals.  I used copics and color pencils to color the images.  The sun is an MFT die.  The background was hand-drawn and colored with copics.  The words were stamped on white cardstock and cut out.

My second card is an easel card.  The animals were stamped and colored and made into 2 inch squares.  As an added bonus I made a pocket to hold a tag made from the wagon of hay.  I hope you like these 2 similar, but different cards.  Thanks for stopping by!

2's-Day Tuesday

Hello friends!  Time for 2's-Day Tuesday.  I have 2 cards to share with you using Dreamerland Crafts Stamp called ZZZ.  Check out the selection of Dreamerland Stamps at 7 Kids Craft Store.

Most of this card was paper pieced, except the boys head and the kitty.   The card below was colored with copics.

I did use some paper on this one for the wall and sentiment.  The main image and floor were colored.

I think the paper pieced one is a little neater and color coordinated, but I like the other card also.  Thank you as always for stopping by.  Hope you will visit me next Tuesday!  Have a nice week!

Janice

Sharing some cards I forgot to post on my blog.

Hello friends!  Here are a couple cards I shared for an Instagram hop, but forgot to share to my blog.

This is a Sweet November digital stamp by Amy Young.  Duncan and Donut.  And below is Coco and Pebble

I really enjoyed coloring these two images.  Colored with copics.  A boy playing catch with his dog and a little girl taking her pup for a walk.  I added some flowers to her dress and some strawberry earrings.  These digital stamps are available to purchase at 7 Kids Craft Store.

Hugs and smiles,

Janice

2's-Day Tuesday

Hello friends!  It is 2's-Day Tuesday.  For my cards I used Dreamerland Crafts I Love Every stamp set.  I made the cards the same with the same color copics and colored pencils.  The only difference is one was stamped on Kraft cardstock, the other on white cardstock.

The difference is subtle but I think I prefer the image stamped on white.  I tend to like bright, vivid colors.

Do you have a preference?  Thanks for stopping by.  Check out all the goodies at 7 Kids Craft Store.

TLC Designs Double Dial Die at 7 Kids Craft Store

Hello friends!  Today I would like to share this card I made with the TLC Designs Double Dial Die from 7 Kids Craft Store.  The stamp set I used is called The Hen House by Picket Fence Studios.

I stamped the Hen House and cut it out.  I cut out the window and door then colored the house with my copics.  Then I used the Double Dial Die for the movement of the chickens.  The hen house is raised with 3 layers of pop dots. Doing it this way allowed me to hide most of the tracks the chicks move on.  This took me several tries to finally get it the way I wanted.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

DT Inspiration Make It Crafty Cottage Images

Hi friends!  I would like to share a couple of cards with you tonight featuring some of the new Country Cottage digital stamps by Make It Crafty.  I love this release.  There are so many possibilities for card design.  You can use a single image as the focal point or blend several images to create a fun, relaxing scene.  Here is one made with the watering can from the Potted Plant Collection.

Just a sweet simple card made with one image.  For my next card I again used the Potted Plant Collection with a different pot of flowers and combined it with the bird bath from the Cottage Elements Collection.  I also used the Birds and Butterflies digi elements to complete my little scene.

For the grassy border I used a stamp for the light green leafy part along with some hand drawn squiggles.  The darker green grass was hand drawn.  Everything was colored with copics except for the white clouds and the stamped leafy border.   I used a Stampin' Up white chalk marker for the clouds.   I will have more cards to share using the Country Cottage images very soon.

Thank you for stopping by!

Make It Crafty New Digi's

Hi friends!  I would like to share a card with you tonight using a brand new digital stamp called Friendly Flower Sprites by Make It Crafty.  I also used a new pre-made scene called Country View.  I think it made the perfect scene.

I used copics to color the images.  The background die cut was cut from a Die-namics Die called Fishnet Cover-up.  The die cut clouds were cut from a My Creative Time die called Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies.  The finished card size is 6"x6".

Copics used:

Grass:  YG11  YG13  YG17  YG23  YG67  G24  G99

Sprites body:  YG11  YG23 Y02

Purple flower:  BV00  V15  V17  V22  V09  V12  BV17

Pink flower:  RV02  RV04  RV21

The sky was colored with B00 and BV00 for a little shadow under the clouds.

Thanks for stopping by!

Exciting News to Share

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to share my first card as a new designer for the FB Make It Crafty team.  I was so surprised and thrilled to see that I had been chosen!  If you would like to see the announcement you can see it here.  Zoe is a sweetheart and an amazing color artist as are her designers.  I am looking forward to learning and improving my coloring skills as well as learning to use digital stamps with ease. (cough, one could hope anyway)

Each month Zoe will have a dollar digi for FB fans that you may purchase with a special code that you will get if you join the private group, HERE. This month the dollar digi is Mini Dracula which you can find HERE!  Just remember to use the code.  Now here is my card.  It is for the first FB Sketch Challenge for the new team.  Here is the sketch.

And here is my card.

This is also for the Make It Colourful, Colouring Challenge #1, orange/black or spooky background.  There are two categories of difficulty, easy or hard.  You can read all about the details.  There are NO random winners, so if you want to win based on your skills, you should try it out.  They are a very supportive group and really want to inspire and offer advice if wanted.  They have video tutorials and really just want to share what they love.

I really enjoyed coloring this scene with my copics.  I hope you will be inspired to play along!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Stamps

Hello friends!  Just wanted to share a couple cards I have made for a card swap at the Peachy Keen Connection.  Have you ever joined a card swap?  I started joining swaps probably about 5 years ago.  When I first started making cards, I had flimsy cardstock, because I didn't know any better.  I learned a lot by swapping with others.  I found out where to get good products, cardstock in particular. That is when I first heard of Stampin' Up.  They have wonderful cardstock!  Lots of other companies have very good quality cardstock, too.   A good foundation is the best place to start, when making cards.  So here are the cards I made.

I used the witch on broom stamp from the September PKSC-09.  I used the cat from PK-630 Nikkity Knack Cat Gang.

For the scarecrow I used PK-609 Build a Scarecrow and the wood sign from PK-646 Faceless Fall Fun 2.

The images were colored with Copics.  Thanks for having a look.

Janice

Hello friends!  This weeks challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps is just cards, teacher.  I wanted to practice some shading and masking, so I decided to do a pile of pencils.  The stamp is from the August 2012 stamp kit.

I stamped and masked and used my Copics to color them up.  Added some ribbon, a tag, and a button.  Thanks for stopping by.

Peachy Keen Challenge #35

Good morning Peachy Keen fans! Today's card is based on a sketch and color combo.

For today's card, I used the puffer fish from the set called Under the Sea. This set is one of my favorites! I have used it often. I stamped the image onto colored cadstock and added some extra color with copics and a white gel pen. You may click here to see what the design team has cooked up for this challenge and to read the details if you would like to participate. We had 89 entries for challenge 34! You guys are awesome, and I love seeing your creations!
