Peachy Keen Challenge 39 - Wrap it Up!

Hello friends! Time for Peachy Keen Challenge 39.

Create elements used in wrapping a gift  There are no limitations.  Ideas for elements are: tags, gift wrap, gift card holders, and note cards. 

I have made a set of 3x3 gift cards using PK-231 Snowflakes, PK-322 Christmas Tag Minis,PK-411 Lil' Gingerbreads and phrases. Peachy Keen Challenge #33

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

Time for another fun Peachy Keen Challenge! Angelica provided us with a fun sketch, so I hope you will play along!

For my card, I used Pk-402 and Pk-404.
Here is the sketch.
and here is my card.
The images were colored with copics. I placed clear plastic over the door and windows using glue dots to adhere. I put tombow white glue on the window corners and sprinkled with glitter. I cut the holly from some patterned paper to frame the door. I used my score-pal on the white background paper to make it look like siding. Finished card size is 5x7. Thanks for stopping by!

My card was inspired by It's A Small World, Disneyland. When my 2 oldest boys were little, we lived in Pasadena, CA. When they were about 2 and 4 yrs old, we took them to Disneyland. We had so much fun and didn't want to leave the park. At nightfall it became chilly, and I hadn't planned on being there so long. I had to purchase sweatshirts so we could stay longer. We stayed another few hours. Oh what fun we had!!

I made the people riding in the balloon with a green sizzix die. I think it is itty, bitty doll body. I used Peachy Keen faces to bring them to life. The overalls and the dress were cut with a green sizzix die. Some of the clothes were hand drawn and cut. The children represent the many different cultures around the world.

Good Morning Friends! Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge #30

Good Morning! Today's Peachy Keen Challenge was to make a summer themed shadowbox. This picture was taken in 1991 in CA. Those cute little boys are my sons, Rob and Scott. I love the expression of sheer delight on Rob's face, while his brother plays along the shore. I am not sure of what Scott is holding in his hand. Possibly a water gun? They were always the best of friends and still are. Where does the time go?

I printed the image onto a full sheet of photo paper. I trimmed along the horizon and cut a strip from the bottom of the photo to create the waves. I used the shark and the fish from PK-952, the cute little crab from PK-950, and PK-790, Boogie Board Max. I used MSS-04 for the sun and clouds. The images were colored with copics. Peachy Keen challenge 29 Teddy Bear Picnic

Good morning friends! Today's Peachy Keen Challenge is to make a recipe card featuring a favorite picnic/barbecue side dish. The size of my recipe card is 6" x 6".
I created a pocket to hold the recipe. Since we were asked to make a picnic/barbecue recipe card I chose to make a scene using the stamp sets PK-034 Oh Baby, and PK-249 Honey Hugs and Bugs. I used the teddy bear stamp from PK-034. The picnic basket was cut from a Sizzix originals die. I used gingham patterned paper for the "tablecloth", not the traditional red and white checked. I stamped the bear onto a light brown cardstock and cut him out. Inked the edges with brown ink and added a little color to his cheeks. He is all set with his pot of honey for his favorite picnic dish, and no picnic is ever complete without a healthy dose of honey hugs and bugs. Peachy Keen challenge 28

Good Morning everyone! Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge! Today I used Pk-240, Say It With Flowers. I really enjoyed making this card for my MIL for Mother's Day! Red, white, and black is one of my favorite color combinations! I went with a more elegant card rather than my usual cutesy. I used copics to color the flowers and added a little glitter. It is time for another Meow-meow Monday Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!
Today's card features a new digi stamp that Kristal has made, just in time for spring. It is called Splish-splash Frogs and if you participated in the last bi-weekly challenge you received it for free. I can't wait to see what your creations will be for this challenge. If you missed out on the freebie, you may purchase it here, and play along. Be sure and visit the blog to see what others have posted and to link your project to Mr Linky. Most of all, have fun! Then you will get a freebie when this challenge ends. For my card, I chose this cute little frog splashing in the puddles after a spring rain. I used to run through the puddles of a summer rain, barefoot in the street. I loved stepping on the hot tar, that patched the roads, after it rained because it was cooled just enough to feel soft and squishy, but not too hot. Funny the things that will spark a memory. I don't even know if they patch cracks with that stuff anymore. I grew up in WI and that is what I remember, way back when. On to my card. I paper-pieced the frog and umbrella. The way I paper piece a digi image varies. Sometimes I will use a light box to trace the part I am piecing onto patterned paper. Other times I will copy several images, and cut the pieces apart. Then I will glue patterned paper over the cut out piece, making sure the paper covers it, and then trim around the image. You can also print the stamp onto patterned paper and cut out the part you are piecing. I usually do not use this method because there would be so much wasted paper. Whew..... sorry for the long post. Guess I got a little nostalgic. thanks for having a look!

Peachy Keen Challenge 26

Time for another Peachy Keen challenge #26. For this challenge we were to follow a recipe.

Recipe Challenge:
Create a card using all of the items/colors/methods listed below:
- Stitching (either by sewing needle or hand-drawn)
- White and Orange (card could have more colors, but must include these two in the card)
- Contain one upcycled item (something that could be thrown away but instead will make its way onto your work of art!)
- Any Peachy Keen Stamp

I used PK-780 Lulee's Swim Time I think she is so cute and I knew right away she would look great in her orange and white bathing suit and cap.

I also used PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant. I call this Orange Elephants on Parade. I masked the elephants and colored them with different patterns. My upcycled items are hard to see, but I used blister packs to punch some clear flowers and swirls with. This was a fun challenge and I hope you will join us. Meow-meow Monday Challenge- Some Bunny Love's You

Good morning friends! It is time for another Digi-Kitty challenge. If you participated in the last challenge, you received an adorable Spring Flower Bunny for free. Peachy Keen Challenge 23

Good Morning Friends!

Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge. I had so much fun making this card! I love the faceless veggies and they were so much fun to color. So, here is the challenge.

Recipe -
*Must contain one of the faceless fruit or faceless veggie stamps.
*Must contain the colors green and yellow anywhere on the project
*Must have a 3d element on the project (this could be the image popped out or an embellishment)

I chose to use several of the faceless veggies. I stamped the tomatoes with red Memento Ink, the broccoli and peas with a green Memento Ink, the eggplant with a purple Memento Ink. I stamped the faces with black Memento Ink. The Memento Ink is the recommended ink to use if coloring with Copics. If you know of others that work equally as well you are welcome to share. Stazon will run with copics, but is great for prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

I made the basket with patterned paper. I lightly sketched it using the grid lines of the paper and cut it out. I added yellow gingham paper to line the basket as a "tablecloth". Then I filled it up with the veggies, added some ribbon and raffia to the basket handle and hand wrote "Pick of the Crop". I hope you will join the fun and play along! I chose to use On A Limb Owl. I love this little owl perched on a limb and had so much fun making this card! I used Copics to color the image. Peachy Keen Challenge 21

Hello friends. I am a bit delayed with my post. Sorry to be late. The challenge at Peachy Keen this week is to combine something vintage, inspired or actual with a stamped image. Part of the reason I am late is because this truly was a challenge for me and I just finished it this morning, but also because I thought I had more time. Oops, time just goes by so quickly. I chose to make a wall hanging. I covered a large chipboard heart with some designer paper. I cut the fan and the yellow teddy bear from vintage greeting cards. The stamps I used are PK-237 Cute Kitties and Pk-034 Oh Baby. I added various lace and the skeleton key. Thanks so much for looking. I do hope you will play along with us. 3-D Challenge at Digi Kitty (Mia hosts)

Good Monday Morning Friends!!!
The challenge at Digi Kitty this week is to make a 3-D item or card with pop dots, etc. to add dimension. We used this adorable Love Birds image for our project. This is my first time making an easel card. I didn't read any instructions about how to make one, so I hope I did it correctly. It looks like others I have seen. The finished card size is 6x6. I enjoy paper piecing and like the look it gives to an image. I tried to make this card look sort of like a quilt block. I think if I had more small patterns in my papers, it may have worked better.
