Get Sketchy Trash to Treasure
Here is a little Christmas decoration I made for this weeks challenge at Get Sketchy.
We were to use something we were going to throw away and make a treasure. This little wooden box used to hold some tiny clothespins. It measures about 4x6 inches. I sponged on some celery green acrylic paint. I used some vintage style papers to cut images from to create scenes in each section. The camera doesn't capture the dimension of the images or the glitter, but you get the idea. This was a fun challenge. Hope you don't mind seeing yet another Christmas project. Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year to all!!
Card made with FREE Digi Kitty Image

BTW the free image is only available til January 1, 2010. So hurry on over and become a follower.

Hello friends. Time for another challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. Today's challenge is another sketch challenge. Here is the sketch and my interpretation of it. I used PK-224.
I stamped snippets of the mouse and finally the whole mouse. If you haven't noticed, I love mice stamps! I used my copics to color him. The little charm says smile. I hope this card makes YOU smile.
The prize for Challenge #19 is an entire assortment pack of our newest set, PK-531 Simple Sallies! Good luck everyone!
You have 2 weeks to play along, so tell your friends and come join in the fun! Have a great day!!!

Digi Kitty Challenge
Here is a card I made for Digi Kitty's Challenge. I used digital images. The candle is Lil Light and I also used Digi Kitty's poinsettias. I printed 2 different sizes of the poinsettias, colored them with copics and used them to embellish the candle holder. The white on the candle is dimensional paint sprinkled with glitter. Thanks for stopping by!

Get Sketchy 18
Here is a card I made for Get Sketchy #18. The image is by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I thought that little mouse was just too cute to resist. I also love marshmallows. I am guilty of roasting marshmallows over the burner of my kitchen stove. (Gasp) I used my copics to color the stamped image. I masked the lit match with a punched circle and sponged the background with several shades of blue. The polka dot ribbon is from SU.

Please link up your entry before December 27th for a chance to win. Another fabulous prize is up for grabs, but you need to participate to have a chance at winning. I hope to see you join in the fun and tell your friends to come play too! Have fun!! :) Don't forget to check out the other fabulous cards made by the DT. Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 17
Hello friends! Peachy Keen has a fun challenge to try and if you are the lucky winner of the draw, you will receive 2 Brand New Released sets, PK-408 Gingerbread Doll Set and PK-318 Penguin Doll Set! Kathy has been creating new stamps and are they CUTE!!!! You will want to check them out for sure!
I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen to be on the Design Team with 7 other really talented women. Their names and links to their blogs are posted in the sidebar to the right. I hope you will visit their blogs. You won't be disappointed.
Now onto the challenge.
We have another recipe challenge for you this week. The challenge is to use the following:
* polka dot(s)
* a border
* stripe(s)
* stamped image(s)
For my card I used PK-319 Snickerdoodle Happy Elf. I stamped his image twice, once onto white cardstock and once onto green "velvet" ribbon. (I purchased this ribbon last year, for 90% off, after Christmas clearance.) I love to think of different ways to incorporate different products. I also have some red velvet ribbon that I purchased at the same time. I have used that for Santa's clothes in the past. I cut the Christmas trees from patterned paper, made the present and attached the white polka dot bow to the present with clear glue dots. The ribbon is not wired. You just twirl and tack down with the glue dots.
As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you can join us in the challenge. You have until December 15 to post your card to Mr. Linky. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Day 272 - Crossing The Line
At 365 Cards the challenge for Day 272 was crossing the line. We were to have paper or embellishments hang over 3 sides of the card. Thanks for having a look! Have a great week!
Day 271 - Giving Thanks and Day 273 - Pretty Pattern
For this card I have combined 2 challenges. I received this damask stamp from a dear friend and knew it would be perfect for Day 273 and since it was a gift I used it to make a Thank You card for her, for Day 271. You can check out the challenges at 365 Cards.

Here is my card for Day 269, Tied Up In Knots at 365 Cards. I used my Copics to color the stamped image and some SU twine to tie around the stump. I added a starfish charm and tied some knots in the twine. The sea-horses, sand-dollar, and crab were punched from MS punches. Thanks for stopping by.

Peachy Keen Challenge 16
For this challenge we were asked to make anything using Peachy Keen Faces. I chose to alter this little wooden box. I used designer paper to cover the box. Then I stamped my images, colored them with Copics, and cut them out. They were adhered to the box with pop dots. I used Simple Simon Faces and PK-614 Fall Fun Pumpkins. I also popped some of the leaves that I cut from the paper scraps for added dimension. Tied some gingham ribbon round one of the handles and I found the leaf embellishment in my stash. Now it is ready to fill with chocolate kisses or use as a pencil holder or give as a gift. I hope you will join in the fun and tell your friends! You can find the details for this challenge here. You will want to see what the DT made for this challenge. I can't wait to see what you create. The more people that participate, the higher the prize. You have until November 30 to link your project to Mr. Linky. Good luck to everyone!!

Meow-meow Monday Challenge - Hybrid Card
Hello Everyone!
I am so excited that Kristal has asked me to be guest designer this week at Digi Kitty. I started stamping about 3 years ago and quickly became hooked. I have learned a lot through card swaps and blog hopping and more recently by joining in on the multitude of Challenge Blogs. There are so many talented artists and resources available to gain inspiration, enough to last a lifetime. I am really enjoying this creative adventure and hope to be an inspiration to others. Thank you Kristal! This week's challenge is to make a "hybrid" card (use a digital stamp and a rubber stamp to make a card). This was a challenge I had never tried, but I sure had fun doing it! I used the Home Sweet Home digi stamp and changed it to a Christmas scene. I probably should have done a Thanksgiving scene. Maybe I will make another. I would love to see your hybrid stamping creations, so please join in!
Most of all, have fun!!
:) Janice

Meow-meow Monday Challenge-Punch It
Over at Digi Kitty the challenge for the week is to use punches. The owl image is from Digi Kitty. I used my scallop edge punch to make his chest feathers. I used fun flock on the hat and the boots. Then I created a scene. The cabin was cut from a piece of Debbie Mumm designer paper. I punched 3 snowflakes from the white cardstock and then put glitter on the strip. I cut two hills from white cardstock and glittered that. I punched the larger snowballs and glittered those as well. Finished card size is 5"x7". Enjoy the day!

GS #13
The challenge at get sketchy is a sketch, of course, and the bonus challenge is dry embossing. My friend Heidi is an expert at hand dry embossing and makes the cutest cards! I have been wanting to try it for awhile now so when I saw the challenge at Get Sketchy, it gave me that extra push to do it. I am happy with the result and had fun making this card! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Day 250 - Marvelous Mondrian
Here is I card I made for challenge 250 - Marvelous Mondrian over at 365 Cards Challenge Blog. This style is very different than anything I have done thus far, so I have really stepped out of my comfort zone. I do like the bright colors. I made the flower by cutting out the shapes, crumpling the paper, and attaching it with the ribbon. I used a sizzix die for the flourishes. The size of the card is 5 1/2" square. Hope you are having a happy Friday!

Magnolia Challenge- Monochrome
Here is my card for this weeks challenge, monochrome. I know it may be a stretch, but I think it is pretty monochrome. The chocolate tin was to the left of the cookies tin. It was intended to be a place for a sitting Tilda. Instead I stacked them and made the room look like a kitchen. The brown strip is for a chair rail and also a division for the "wall-papered" kitchen. I am happy with this card. I really like the colors. As always, thanks for stopping by.
A Couple of Birthday Cards
For the Happy "Bird"-days card, I used a stamp by Denami Designs. I thought those little birds were so cute.
The penguins lighting the cupcake is a stamp by The Cat's Pajamas. These cards were fun to make! Thanks for having a look!
The Digi Kitty Framed Challenge
I made this card for The Digi Kitty challenge, "Framed". I received this free digital image from Digi Kitty and this is what I came up with. Thanks for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 15
I have the honor once again to be a guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 15. You can see the details of this challenge by clicking here.
For this challenge Kathy has provided us with a sketch. I chose to use PK-322 to create my Christmas gingerbread wreath. I love her gingerbread stamps and the Christmas Tag Mini set has so many possibilities. I hope you like my holiday wreath. I had a lot of fun making this card. It is really getting me in the mood for Christmas. I hope you will join in the fun and play along. There is a great prize that you might win, but you have to enter to get a chance. You have until Nov. 15th to post your card to Mr. Linky. Good Luck to all who enter!
