Make It Crafty DT Inspiration Coloring Wood

Hello friends!  Tonight I would like to share a Make It Crafty scene made with the Country Cottage digital images.  This month's Colouring Challenge #7, Spring Is In The Air, has two levels of difficulty.  The easy challenge is to color Spring flowers and trees.  The hard challenge is to color wood, plants and trees and make them look realistic.  Here is my card.

I combined several images to create my scene.  Cottage Elements, Pot Plants, Wooden Wall, and Wooden Window.  I must apologize again for not writing down the colors.  I used so many different colors and so many layers until I came up with the look I was trying to achieve.  I wanted a weathered mossy look to the cottage.  Does it look that way to you?  I hope so.  I love these challenges, because they really encourage you to keep practicing and trying new things.  I am so excited because I am going to Texas this weekend for a Colouring Retreat and I am going to meet some extremely talented colouring artists.  I have never been to Texas and I am going to meet Zoe from Australia and Make It Crafty, Barbara from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, and Christy Croll from Tiddly Inks along with 20 or so colouring enthusiasts.  It is going to be FUN!!!  I probably won't post again until I return.  Have a great night!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
