Hello Friends! Time for another Peachy Keen Challenge. Thank you to all of you talented artists who participate in our challenges! You are all such an inspiration and we appreciate each and every one of you for being such wonderful, loyal fans of Peachy Keen Stamps!! The theme for this weeks challenge is ENCOURAGEMENT! Some of us could certainly use a good dose of encouragement, in good times and in trying times. Angelica always comes up with such amazing challenges, and this is no exception.
I recently purchased some background stamps from Market Street Stamps that Angelica designed. I was having a lot of fun playing with the background stamp called
Here Comes The Sun. I love sunsets and sunrises and moonlight so I knew this stamp was a must have. I inked up the stamp with 3 shades of pigment ink and then heat embossed clear embossing powder over the image. I used a sentiment stamp from the very special stamp set, near and dear to our hearts, called
Our 2 Angels in Heaven, in honor of Lisa's 2 precious angels who lost their young lives in a horrific car accident.
Lisa is an amazing person who is a constant inspiration to all of us who know and love her! Kathy, Peachy Queen Extraordinaire, lovingly crafted this stamp set to honor those precious angels and very generously has offered to donate the proceeds of the sale of this set to be given to the charity of Lisa's choice. Kathy and Dave and their children are such beautiful examples of what is good in this life. I am so blessed to have them in my life, even though we haven't actually met in person. We will, someday! I guess I am feeling THANKFUL for the blessings of family and friends because Thanksgiving is just 2 days away. I hope you all have a wonderful, Happy Thanksgiving!
Back to my card. After trying warm and cool shades for the background stamp, I decided to use the cool blues for this card. Blue feels more calming and encouraging, so that is why I chose that color scheme. I stamped, I believe in.... in the suns rays, and popped the YOU in the center of the sun. The card looks better in real life. I am happy with the way it turned out. I hope you like it too! As always, thanks so much for stopping by. I encourage you to visit the rest of the
design team blogs. I am always amazed by their talent.
Hugs and smiles, Janice
