House Mouse Swap

Here is a card I made for a swap. Actually, I made 6 of them. Do you ever buy things from the dollar bin at Michael's? Well I bought some packages of cards that were marked down to 25 cents for 8 or 10 cards with envelopes. So I used the cards for my patterned paper. I punched the glittered cherries from the purchased cards, with my circle punch, and placed them on a scalloped circle. I love cherries and red white and blue themed cards. I used to have my kitchen decorated with a 50's style formica table, white cabinets, and red cherry accents. My casual dinnerware even has cherries on them. I think you get the picture. So when I saw those cards, I just had to have them. Enough of my rambling. Have a great weekend!

Digi Kitty Progressive Challenge

Hi Everyone!
This post is going a little early. If you participated in the Digi Kitty challenge last time, you should have received your free image from Kristal. Each time you play along you get a free digital image at the end of the challenge, so you can keep on joining the challenges. If you haven't played along you can always jump right in and purchase the current challenge image (reasonably priced, I might add) and then you too will receive the next image free. Those of you who know Kristal, knows she LOVES owls!! This little owl really is the SWEETEST with her yummy ice cream treat! I printed my owl on patterned paper and cut her out. I also printed her on white cardstock for her eyes and tummy. The ice cream was printed on white cardstock and colored with copics. I added a few sprinkles of sugar (dazzling diamonds) to the strawberries and ice cream. I punched a couple of flowers for her hair, secured with a tiny mini brad. Thanks for having a look, and I hope you will play along! You can check out the details here.

Peachy Keen challenge 27

Good morning friends! Peachy Keen has an image and color challenge this time around. I made 2 cards. For the card with the grapes I used the faceless cherry stamp, and the grape leaves are from the faceless fall stamps. I used the Lil Bugs and the Lil frog stamp to tie in some of the colors and elements from the image.

For the second card I used the newly released Happy Bird PK-267. I made the large flower using circles for the petals. I had fun with this challenge and look forward to seeing how you are inspired by the colors and images. Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you will check out all the details and all the wonderful cards the rest of the design team have created by clicking here.

It is time for another Meow-meow Monday Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!
Today's card features a new digi stamp that Kristal has made, just in time for spring. It is called Splish-splash Frogs and if you participated in the last bi-weekly challenge you received it for free. I can't wait to see what your creations will be for this challenge. If you missed out on the freebie, you may purchase it here, and play along. Be sure and visit the blog to see what others have posted and to link your project to Mr Linky. Most of all, have fun! Then you will get a freebie when this challenge ends. For my card, I chose this cute little frog splashing in the puddles after a spring rain. I used to run through the puddles of a summer rain, barefoot in the street. I loved stepping on the hot tar, that patched the roads, after it rained because it was cooled just enough to feel soft and squishy, but not too hot. Funny the things that will spark a memory. I don't even know if they patch cracks with that stuff anymore. I grew up in WI and that is what I remember, way back when. On to my card. I paper-pieced the frog and umbrella. The way I paper piece a digi image varies. Sometimes I will use a light box to trace the part I am piecing onto patterned paper. Other times I will copy several images, and cut the pieces apart. Then I will glue patterned paper over the cut out piece, making sure the paper covers it, and then trim around the image. You can also print the stamp onto patterned paper and cut out the part you are piecing. I usually do not use this method because there would be so much wasted paper. Whew..... sorry for the long post. Guess I got a little nostalgic. thanks for having a look!

Swinging Jenny Girl

For this card I used the digi stamp called Swinging Jenny Girl from Digi Kitty. I colored her with copics and punched the flowers from some patterned paper that I printed from a piece of fabric. Quite often I will scan fabric that I think would look great as designer paper. The possibilities are endless. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Challenge 26

Time for another Peachy Keen challenge #26. For this challenge we were to follow a recipe.

Recipe Challenge:
Create a card using all of the items/colors/methods listed below:
- Stitching (either by sewing needle or hand-drawn)
- White and Orange (card could have more colors, but must include these two in the card)
- Contain one upcycled item (something that could be thrown away but instead will make its way onto your work of art!)
- Any Peachy Keen Stamp

I used PK-780 Lulee's Swim Time I think she is so cute and I knew right away she would look great in her orange and white bathing suit and cap.

I also used PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant. I call this Orange Elephants on Parade. I masked the elephants and colored them with different patterns. My upcycled items are hard to see, but I used blister packs to punch some clear flowers and swirls with. This was a fun challenge and I hope you will join us. I would love to see your orange and white creations. You can check out what the other DT members have created here. Have a great day!

Good Morning Friends! Several cards to post.

For this card I used PK-205 and PK-272. I handwrote the sentiment, This "spud" is for you! The potato is offering a beer to the potato that fell out of the sack. I think this would be great for a guy. The mug of beer is from PK-025.

For the flower card I used PK-273.I used several sizes and masked the images on the card. Colored with copics. Added a white bow and charm and a border of daisy trim.

I used the crab stamps from PK-950 Used copics to color them, then cut them out. The beach background was created using sponges.

I have made several cards so I am posting them in one post. If you have any questions, please ask, and I will get back to you.
