Hello friends! It is my day to post to the
Peachy Keen Blog. First I would like to thank all our service men and women for their dedication to our country! God bless you!
Happy Memorial Day!
I have been trying to offer little tutorials in the hopes that you might be inspired to try something new, or to try it again if it has been awhile. For me it has been awhile. I looked to
Splitcoaststampers website to see if there was a tutorial that would inspire me. When I came to the
baby wipe technique tutorial, I remembered that I had done this before and was happy with the results. I did it years ago so I don't have that sample to share with you. It was before I started blogging.
I used various SU ink colors to make my baby wipe ink pad and stamped the butterflies to make the background paper. I stamped another butterfly and used a circle punch to punch it out. Here is the finished card. The butterfly and sentiment are from
PKSC-16 April 2013.
For my next card I used some solid stamps from
PKSC-09 September 2012.
I used the leaf to make the background paper and stamped a few acorns and cut them out. I stamped and paper pieced the scarecrow. Here is the finished card.
For my final card I used the Striped Wipe technique. You can view that tutorial
HERE! I used 2 colors of ink to prepare the wipe for stripes. Sorry I didn't photograph that one. Here is the completed card.
I didn't use glossy cardstock as suggested. I used Stampin Up Whisper White. I made one of the baby wipes like above and then used it for the striped background by adding alternating dots of ink in a vertical line. I used some of the scrap cardstock to punch the grass and the butterflies. I used
PK-240 Say It With Flowers. I love this stamp set. It is an oldie but goodie!
Have a fabulous day!
Hugs and smiles,
Janice
