My First Video Tutorial - Clouds

This is my first video tutorial.  Constructive criticism and suggestions appreciated.  I was pretty nervous.  Thanks for having a look!

It Looks Like Spring

Good morning friends!  Here is a card I made with the Cottage Cutz Potted Flower.  I used gingham cardstock to paper piece the flowers.  I know I have said this before, but I will say it again.  I LOVE me some gingham!
Gingham and polka dots are some of my faves!    The sentiment is from Pink by Design, Life's a Garden.  Happy Monday everyone!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 48

Good morning Peachy Keen friends!
Time for another Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch:
and here is my card.
I used PK-266 Duck Dolls.  I LOVE this stamp set!  Those little duckies bring a smile to my face every time!  I stamped the flower and masked it, then stamped the duck over the flower.  I colored the duckies with copics and added some white highlights to the flowers and then cut the images out.  The paper lace was made with a Martha Stewart punch.  Be sure and check out what the rest of the design team has done.  They always inspire me!  I look forward to see what you will create if you decide to play along.

Market Street Vintage Wallpaper

Hello everyone!
I have been playing with my new Vintage Wallpaper background stamp from Market Street Stamps.  I love this stamp.  I wanted to show you some of the ways you can use this stamp and achieve very different looks.
I used the same background paper and stamped 1 in Memento Bamboo Leaves green and 1 in Memento Summer Sky blue.  2 very different looks.
I really love the look I achieved by stamping the image onto this finely dotted patterned paper.  Click on the image to see it close up to get a better idea of what I am talking about.
Here is the card I made with it.  The little girl stamp is an old Stampin' Up stamp that I love.  It reminds me of the old fashioned toile wallpaper or fabric you would see in old Victorian homes.  I love toile!
Here is the card that I made with the background inked up with Memento Summer Sky, stamped onto the patterned paper.  The patterned paper is Memory Box.  I don't remember the name of it, sorry.  The vintage image is from PSX, The Montage Collection.  I used Memento Bamboo Leaves to stamp the framed image and colored the flowers with a Memento Summer Sky marker.
Here are some other background papers I made to be used for another project down the road.  I did, however, use the off-white cardstock and stamped the Vintage Wallpaper background stamp, using Memento Desert Sand ink.

I added some lace and ribbon and a handmade flower to complete the card.  I love the tone on tone.  I hope you like my cards for today and thanks so much for stopping by.

Janice

"Shroom" With a View

Good morning friends!  Here is a card I made with the Cottage Cutz Mushroom House die!  I love this die!  I think it is really cute!  I am always "Title Challenged" but Shroom with a View popped into my head.  I can't remember if Room With a View is the title of something or some show, or if I have been watching too much Home and Garden Television.

I cut the mushroom using white cardstock from Papertrey Ink and used copics to color it.  I hope you like it. There are a lot of cute dies in The Scrapping Cottage store.  You can visit the store by clicking here.  Thanks for having a look!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 47

Hello my Peachy Keen friends!
We had 97 participants for our last challenge!  Woohoo!!  You guys are awesome and oh so talented!  We appreciate each and everyone of you!!
So on to the the next challenge.  Here is the sketch.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a card or layout based on the SKETCH provided

THE TWIST
Use bling of any kind to embellish your creation!

Guidelines:
Design must be new
Project must incorporate elements from provided sketch and twist
Link up before March 21st

As with all of our sketch challenges, the basic layout should be there, but feel free to flip elements & get creative!

Here is what I came up with.

I used the adorable Lulee's Swim Time PK-780.  I love this stamp!  It's so cute, but then again, they all are!
I used An Ocean of Words for the waves and the life preserver.  I made the lifeguard chair with strips of white cardstock.  I googled lifeguard signs and printed an image I liked.  I used elements from the Fancy Brackets Rhinestone Silver W2S-01, for the waves, as well as a white gel pen.  I used several shades of brown markers to dot the sand.  I also had some small shell stamps that I used on the beach.  The clouds were sponged using a cardstock template that I cut out.  One of these days I will do a tutorial for making the sky background.  The finished card size is 5x7.

Be sure and head on over to the Peachy Keen Blog to see what my fellow team-mates have cooked up.  Fabulous work as always, sure to inspire!  I can't wait to see what you create using this wonderful sketch with a twist of bling!  Have FUN!!

Ewe Are The Best!

Good morning!  Well we had quite a bit of snow melt this weekend.  There is still a lot on the ground but it gives me hope that Spring will be here soon.

For my card today I used the Cottage Impressions Sheep Stamp.  I love this stamp.  After watching Lorie's awesome tutorial, I just had to give it a try.  I didn't have all the same colors that she used, but I am pleased with the end result.  Lorie, I hope I passed with flying colors. " Ewe are the best!"  The best copic colorer that I know.  Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!

I will be back next Monday!  Have a wonderful week everyone!
Hugs and smiles,
Janice
