Polka Dot Pals Hauntly

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a Halloween card with you.  I used Little Miss Muffet's Polka Dot Pals Hauntly.  Such a fun image.  You can check out other images in the LMMS store.  Halloween is so fun!

I tried to create a spooky scene with the moon and clouds.  I added some black netting from the dollar store.  The finished card is 5x7 inches.  Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest 2nd Entry

Well time is almost up for entering the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest.  I was hoping to get 3 done but I spent so much time trying to get some decent pictures.  A photographer I am NOT!  I created the template for this card many years ago and posted a very amateur tutorial if you would like to see it here.  That was from 2009.  The idea was born even earlier because when I first created it I used a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock.  You can see the card I made back in 2008 here.  Through the years I have tweaked the design and I now use an 8x11 piece of paper.  Enough of my rambling, here is my card.

I used BB Hog Heaven to create this birthday stand.  The patterned paper is MFT Birthday Blowout Paper Pack.

Here is a close up of the flooring I created with the Fishnet Cover up die.

I ran it through the bigshot but let the pieces remain.  I think it makes the perfect tile floor.

Here are some more photos to show the details.  I used the no-line coloring technique by stamping the pigs with Memento Angel Pink and then colored with colored pencils.  Their party hats were made with this die.

I used my score-pal to make the shutters and siding, however I realized as I was writing this post, my siding is Wainscoting, as it is vertical. haha

The card folds flat to fit in an envelope for mailing.  You just have to remove the brads from the awning.

Here are a few more pictures to show the detail.

I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the cupcakes.   The 3 on the counter are adhered to a thin clear strip of plastic.  The doily for those 3 cupcakes was made with this die.
Finally the countertop edge was made with this die.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  I had so much fun making it!

I really enjoyed coloring this cutie and creating the background too!  I used copics and colored pencils.  I drew the fence and the sidewalk and used a few punches to finish the card.  You can check out the details for challenge 147 here.

My Favorite Things Superstar Contest

Hello friends!  My Favorite Things is having a contest with a fabulous prize for 10 winners.  There is some serious competition with over 380 entries.  I wouldn't want the job of judging all those cards. There are just under 2 days left to enter.  You can see more details here.

Here is my card.  I made a slider with a few of the images from 2 stamp sets, Farmtastic and The Whole Herd.

This is a picture with the barn closed.  The  milk cans, pig, and cow are images I used for the slider element.

When you pull the slide you are able to open the face of the barn and look what's inside.
I paper-pieced my images with some gingham papers from my stash.  I love gingham and polka dots.

Here is a close-up of the slider.

Finally here is a photo of the dies and stamps I used.

I used MFT inkpads to sponge the edges of the images to add some depth.  The gingham papers are from my stash.  The cardstock is MFT.  Thanks so much MFT for a chance to play along!  Now to finish my second card.  The clock is ticking..........

Summer Snails LMMS

Hello everyone!  Today's card features Summer Snails from LMMS.

I used shades of yellow and orange to color up these stacked summer snails.  I had fun coloring the snails shell.  I like trying to have a smooth blend when coloring with my copics.  There are several snail stamps to choose from if you would like to take a look.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
