Peachy Keen Challenge 57 with a twist

Good morning Peachy Keen friends!  Today we have a fabulous sketch and color combo challenge for you.  I sure enjoyed this one and I am pretty sure you will too if you play along, and I sure hope you do!  There is lots of inspiration from the other designers and from our guest designer, Cathryn.  If you get a chance visit their blogs and leave them some love.  Here is the sketch:

and here is my card.  As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use snowmen faces.  I drew the shape of the snowmen and added some cute PK faces.  I used ribbon for the scarves, tie, hat and ear muffs along with some white pom poms.  Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Flower Power!

Good morning friends!  What a talented group of new DT members over at The Scrapping Cottage!  I sure have been enjoying reading about them and seeing all their wonderful talent!  So much inspiration already!  Today I have a few cards to show you, using several dies from the Flower Power Release.
Doesn't this turtle make you smile?  I love the little hat!  So cute!  The die is Groovy Turtle.  I also used the Grass Border die, one I am sure I will be using often.
For this card I used the Floral Doily.  I used Copics and a white gel pen to color the doily and a few bits of bling to add some sparkle.
For my final card I used the Tropical Flower die.  I made the leaves myself and added even more bling to make the design pop!  Thanks for having a look!  Please be sure and come back often for even more inspiration.  Did you get a chance to watch Cheryl's video showing us how she dresses up the Dress Form from the Sewing Machine and Dress Form die?  I love all the beautiful tags she has made with the dress form.  Have a FANTASTIC week!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Challenge 56

Good morning my Peachy friends!  Time for a new sketch challenge.  Here is the sketch.
and here is my card.  I used PK-411, Lil' Gingerbreads and phrases.  I used the Cottage Cutz Gingerbread Dolls die for the larger ginger.  I used a Happy Lash face instead of the one's provided with the die.

Check out what the rest of the team has created.  I love all the inspiration.

I was away for 2 weeks so I apologize for not commenting on last week's challenge.  I want to see what you all have made and will be commenting.  I appreciate your participation and want you to know that I do!  Thanks for your understanding.

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Swedish Style Bird

Hello Everyone!  Lots of new changes happening here at the Cottage!  How FUN!  Welcome to the new DT members.  Looking forward to getting to know you!

I was away for 2 weeks.  Had a wonderful time with family and friends!  I so enjoyed seeing my 8 sisters and having a slumber party with lots of yummy food, laughter, and sitting around a campfire.  I am trying to make this a yearly event!

I also got to meet Kathy Jakopovich, The Peachy Queen, and her family.  Angelica, her daughter, just introduced herself to the Scrapping Cottage Design Team.  I am thrilled she is joining us with her artistic talent and sweet personality.

Now on to my card for today.  I use the Bird with Flowers die from the Flower Power Release.  As I designed the card, it reminded me of the Swedish style of art with vivid colors.  I was thinking of the Dala.  I made the card first and then searched for a photo that I thought could have been the inspiration.  A little backward, I know, but art takes me on a journey.

I enjoyed making this card and I hope you like it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs and smiles,
Janice
