Two more cards for Memory Box contest

Here are my other two submissions for the Memory Box Contest. The butterflies were made with a flower stamp. I used the flower blossom to make the wings of the butterflies.

For the penguin card I created the background paper by stamping the images from the set and coloring them in. I layered the image and the background paper with bright colors, tied some red and black gingham ribbon around the card and put a chef's hat on the penguin's head. I think this is a very cute set, especially for fun summer cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Stamps Ginger Bite

Hello Everyone! For this card I used a Peachy Keen Stamp called Ginger Bite Her dress was paper pieced and I used prismacolor pencils and gamsol to color her. She was first stamped onto Kraft cardstock, colored, then cut out. I had a chipboard heart frame that I covered with SU more mustard designer paper, distressed and inked the edges of the background papers, added some buttons and gingham ribbon to finsh it off. Thanks for looking.

Whacky/wacky. Random post.

When I read the comments for my "Whacky Christmas Card" from my friends Cheryl and Patti, they both spelled it wacky. I was embarrassed, thinking I had made a spelling error. Those of you who know me well, know that I love Google! So of course I had to google whacky and this is what I found, for starters. I didn't bother reading any further.

"Although the original spelling of this word meaning “crazy” was “whacky,” the current dominant spelling is “wacky.” If you use the older form, some readers will think you’ve made a spelling error."

I guess I am stuck in the "crazy, whacky past."

Have a great day all!!

Whacky Christmas Swap

I am in a Whacky Christmas swap. I had a hard time doing whacky, so pink trees is as whacky as I could get. I just couldn't bring myself to a Santa dressed in animal prints. The tree is from an old SU set. I used SU pixie pink to stamp the image. The presents were cut from some designer paper. Glitter and a glitter pen were used to add some sparkle.

Penny Black ATC

I made this Penny Black hedgehog ATC for another swap. The ice cream scoops were punched and glittered with dazzling diamonds. I used copics to color the hedgie. Thanks for stopping by.

House Mouse ATC

I made this ATC for a swap that I am in. I love this image. The yellow teddy-bear was punched from a Martha Stewart punch and his nose is a glitter brad.
