Peachy Keen Challenge 13-39: Just Cards (Can I have that recipe?)

Hello friends!  Time for a new Peachy Keen Challenge 13-39 Just Cards.

THE CHALLENGE
Create a card using the theme of Recipe. Ever been invited to a shower that asks you to include a recipe for the bride-to-be? Maybe a friend or loved one is moving to a new home and could use a welcoming gift of a dish and it's recipe? Use your creativity to somehow include a recipe with your card!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and  our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 10/2 - 11:59 pm EST

This card was made with some dies I purchased at My Creative Time.  I used PK-239 Faceless Fruit, PK-660 Laughy Taffy, and PK-195 Honey Sentiments.  The strawberries were colored with Copics and cut out.  The blue jean paper is by October Afternoon, Sasparilla.

These are some of our favorite cookies and they are so easy to make.  You can use whatever jam suits your fancy!

I hope you will join in the fun this week!  Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Make It Crafty DT Inspiration

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a card made with some new Halloween digi's from Make It Crafty.  I used Head Chopper, Full Moon, Graveyard, Spooky Tree, and Wrought Iron Fence to create my Halloween scene.  I apologize.  I did not remember to write down my copic colors as I colored.  I promise to get better about that.  So here it is.

I added crystal effects to the dripping blood after I colored the entire scene.  The punched elements were cut from several punches by Martha Stewart.  White pigment ink and a white gel pen were used for the moon highlights.  The white spider web is that stretchy spider web for Halloween decorations.  I also tried to make the graveyard a little foggy with the white pigment ink and a sponge to apply it.  This is an easel card.  If you have any questions please ask in the comments.  I will be happy to answer as best I can.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  If you would like to visit the Make it Crafty store you may click HERE.  I also have links to the store, Make It Crafty blog, and the Make It Colourful challenges in the top, right side-bar.  Have a great night!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen Stamps and Timeless Twine

Hello everyone!  I hope you have been enjoying the variety of ways the designers have been using Peachy Keen Stamps and Timeless Twine.  I have a few cards to share with you today.
I used the jar stamp from PKSC-16 April 2013 and the Sweet stamp from PKSC-19 July 2013.  I used medium sized glue dots on white cardstock and started on the outer edge with the twine, winding inward till it ended in the center.  I snipped the twine and cut out the circle.  I made enough candies to fill the jar.  I braided some twine and used it to tie a bow around the jar.  The twine I used was FirecrackerRazzleberry Sorbet, and Strawberry Cupcake.

It's All About The Cookies

For this card I used PK-151 Gingerbread Bowl and Firecracker Twine.  I colored the image with copics, used a white gel pen for the faces and liquid pearls for the hair and the dots on the bowl.  I stamped the bowl twice, one to color and one to cut out the zig-zag.  I wrapped the zig-zag with twine and adhered it in place.  I made a pom pom and used it with some twine to add the tag sentiment.

Thank You!

I stamped the Thank you stamp, PK-160 Thank you-big, with turquoise pigment ink onto a white piece of cardstock measuring 4" by 5 1/4".  Then I placed 1/2" score tape around the sentiment to frame it.  I used a double strand of Firecracker twine, started on the outside edge and wrapped until the adhesive was covered.  The bow with the tiny Strawberry Cupcake pom pom covers my starting point.  The butterflies were punched from red cardstock and the card front was mounted to a red card base.

I think it is pretty obvious I like red, white, and blue and that is why I chose Firecracker twine as one of my choices.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Janice

Peachy Keen FUN!

Hello Peachy fans!  I have a few cards to share with you.

This is a card I made awhile ago and forgot to post it.  I created this scene using PK-1255 Fishbowl and PKSC-20 August 2013.

This is a card I made for one of the September release challenges.  Gigi asked us to use a die cut and a PK face.  My sunshine die is from My Favorite Things.  I added some pompom trim and sequins along with an adorable PK face to finish off this cutie!

Peachy Keen Stamps is still working on the new website and tirelessly working to iron out all the glitches.  We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Janice

Exciting News to Share

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to share my first card as a new designer for the FB Make It Crafty team.  I was so surprised and thrilled to see that I had been chosen!  If you would like to see the announcement you can see it here.  Zoe is a sweetheart and an amazing color artist as are her designers.  I am looking forward to learning and improving my coloring skills as well as learning to use digital stamps with ease. (cough, one could hope anyway)

Each month Zoe will have a dollar digi for FB fans that you may purchase with a special code that you will get if you join the private group, HERE. This month the dollar digi is Mini Dracula which you can find HERE!  Just remember to use the code.  Now here is my card.  It is for the first FB Sketch Challenge for the new team.  Here is the sketch.

And here is my card.

This is also for the Make It Colourful, Colouring Challenge #1, orange/black or spooky background.  There are two categories of difficulty, easy or hard.  You can read all about the details.  There are NO random winners, so if you want to win based on your skills, you should try it out.  They are a very supportive group and really want to inspire and offer advice if wanted.  They have video tutorials and really just want to share what they love.

I really enjoyed coloring this scene with my copics.  I hope you will be inspired to play along!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Peachy Keen September Sneak Peeks Day 2

Hello Peachy friends!  Well it is day 2 of sneak peeks.  If you missed day one you may check it out here.  The designers did an awesome job!  This is such a fun release and I am sure it is one you will want to have.  For my sneak I made a diorama of what my dream kitchen might look like.

I LOVE red and white kitchens!  I love cherries and gingham too!  I should have grown up in the 50's because I love retro!  Here is a close up of the stove.  The pie and the oven mitt are stamps.  The cherries were cut from Nifty Fifties.

I have several more samples that I will share at the release party on Sept. 5th at 6pm central, 7pm Eastern at the Peachy Keen Connection!  Hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice
