Get Sketchy #3

Good morning! I found a new challenge blog called Get Sketchy, so I decided to play along. Here is the sketch,

and this is my take on the challenge. The image is from Whipper Snapper, colored with copics. I used yellow/orange cardstock to make the petals of the sunflower, distressed the edges, and curled the petals slightly. I used some fabric scraps for the background and the center ribbon. I cut the leaves in gingham and solid green. I cut the gingham leaves in half, vertically and adhered it to the solid green leaf for contrast. I distressed the edges. The finished card size is 6x6. As always, thanks for stopping by!

It's Another $100 Memory Box Bucks Contest!

Memory box is having another contest!! Check it out here. I hope you will give it a try. Here is my card, although I am just playing for fun. I won the last time so I don't think it would be fair to enter again, at least not yet. I just wanted to try something new and we were to use a popsicle stick and images from the new Fall/Winter release, which can be seen here. If you decide to play along make sure you read all of the requirements. Thanks for stopping by!

Lots of Whipper Snapper Cards

Hi friends! I have several cards that I have done using Whipper Snapper Stamps. I entered a contest over the summer and took first place, so with my prize money I bought a lot of stamps, and boy are they fun! You should check them out and enter their contest by clicking here. They have the cutest stamps and offer 3 options for type of stamp. I have many of the unmounted stamps, but I do purchase the wood-mounted on occasion. I love to see the colored image of the stamp on the wood-block. And now for my samples...

For this card I paper pieced the image. I think this is such a cute snowman and I am happy with the results.
For this stamp I stamped the shower curtain and cut it out. I used pop dots to make it stand out and I used a glitter pen to make the shower curtain rod stand out. This cute little ghost is another stamp from Whippersnapper along with the spider. The bats were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I stamped this kitty and the fish is from another set. I used silver cord to dangle from the kitty's mouth to hold his Christmas fish.

Here is another ghost card. This was colored with Copics. This is from the Fall/Winter new release, as are most of the images I am posting.

I am sure by now you can see that I love snowmen. I like the two birds sitting on top of his hat.

This is another favorite image of mine. I think the penguin and polar bear are just too cute! They have many others to choose from, in fact, I have several others.

And finally one last card. Another polar bear and penguin. I hope you enjoyed my cards and as I said earlier, you should enter their papercrafting contest. Thanks so much for dropping by! I always appreciate your visits and comments!

Cheryl's Designer Paper Swap

This is my first time making tri-shutter cards. I used SU Parisian Breeze Designer Paper, which unfortunately is retired. I think these papers are so pretty. I wish they would not have retired them. I used the Tri-shutter Card Tutorial on Splitcoast Stamper's. You can find so many things there. Cheryl they are in the mail too! Be back soon!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 09

Here is my entry for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 09. We were to use a circle, square, and a star. I used PK-M12. I used red, white and black again, oops. I have lots more to post so I hope you come back. Thanks for looking!

Robin's Foo-foo Swap at I.S.C.

I made this card for a swap that I joined at I.S.C., Inspire, Swap, Chat. You can click on the logo in my sidebar to go check it out. Robin is hosting a Foo-foo swap, frills, lace, bling etc...
I chose this image by "The Queen's Ink" because she is pretty foo-foo-ish already. I just added some silver microbeads to her necklace and poinsettia and some ring bling in a red, black, and white color scheme, (one of my favorite color combos). Robin I hope this is foo-foo-ish enough. They are in the mail. It was a fun swap. Thanks for stopping by!

Cheryl's Serendipity Card Swap

For this swap we were to use this technique and make 6 cards. I used a butterfly die and the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder to emboss the butterfly. Thanks so much for stopping by!
